After 5 minutes, Victor da Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AS Pikachuzim and the Grêmio FBPA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victor da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Ronaldo Ramos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio FBPA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Jaime Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Rui Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Teixeira in the 18th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Rui Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rui Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Teixeira in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Bittencourt in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Varela saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. Vito Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edu Veiga hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the game, AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Vito Batista came free, but Rui Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Bittencourt in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Varela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Bittencourt went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The AS Pikachuzim fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Cristian Bittencourt made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Bittencourt got free with Rui Varela in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rui Varela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute Cristian Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela got control of the ball when Cristian Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 minutes, Cristian Bittencourt made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute of the match, Vito Batista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Varela saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rui Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's Cristian Bittencourt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Varela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Vito Batista reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rui Varela. The goal made the score 1-7.
