Davi Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustavo Gustavson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davi Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. Kauã Sarmento came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo. But to his dismay, Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Freddy Dove struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Kauã Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Joinville - FSCMZ. The crowd rose to their feet as Davi Meireles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Gustavson. That made the score 1-2 in the 18 minute of play. The New Joinville - FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
