The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Matadores FC's Faustão Saldanha got a free kick in the 8th minute. Diamantino de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Rosa in the 11th minute of the match. Diamantino de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Matadores FC's Augusto Rosa. But to his dismay, Augusto Rosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Flávio Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Rosa in the 28th minute of play forced Airborne FC's goalkeeper Diamantino de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diamantino de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute of the match, Hélio Terra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kauã Sarmento saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Terra in the 45th minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Kauã Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Melo came free, but Kauã Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Matadores FC's zone, Hélio Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kauã Sarmento came out of the goal and Hélio Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Meira's late challenge caught a Matadores FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Meira helped the player get up and apologised. Kauã Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Airborne FC's Diamantino de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Airborne FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Faustão Saldanha took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Diamantino de Queiroz to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Matadores FC booed when Airborne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Melo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matadores FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
