The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucio Urtsua got free with Diamantino de Queiroz in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo couldn't finish the play. New Joinville - FSCMZ's attentive Chiquinho de Amorim managed to snatch the ball when Alfredo Dracena made a throw-in in the 14th minute of the game. The supporters of Airborne FC booed when New Joinville - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Urtsua in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of New Joinville - FSCMZ booed when Airborne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucio Urtsua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Diamantino de Queiroz made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo got free with Diamantino de Queiroz in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diamantino de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Urtsua in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Lucio Urtsua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Diamantino de Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Gustavo Gustavson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Chiquinho de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Gustavson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diamantino de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Lucio Urtsua sped through Airborne FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Diamantino de Queiroz. Lucio Urtsua received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diamantino de Queiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucio Urtsua slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 38th minute. Lucio Urtsua struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Diamantino de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Joinville - FSCMZ. 43 minutes into the game, Délio Goiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Diamantino de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Urtsua in the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jean Nunes hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélio Terra was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Terra in the 53rd minute of play forced New Joinville - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gustavo Gustavson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Chiquinho de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the New Joinville - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. After 72 minutes of play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Carlos Fernando Nascimento made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diamantino de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Fernando Nascimento in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diamantino de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Airborne FC's Délio Goiano got a free kick in the 78th minute. Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo-Hernán Cadelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Xande Koeman made a precise shot to the right of Diamantino de Queiroz. Airborne FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Carlos Fernando Nascimento scored 8-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diamantino de Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustavo Gustavson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dudu Mesquita in the 96th minute.
