The supporters of Compugraf booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruud Gullit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th match minute, Compugraf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Estrela Solitária got a freekick which was hit by Adalberto Campidelis. The audience held their breath when Júlio Neves in the 34th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Anselmi Saksinen's left hand side. In the 42nd minute, Túlio Maravilha made a precise shot to the right of Chico Fernandez. Compugraf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Túlio Maravilha might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chico Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Túlio Maravilha ran back to his position shaking his head.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilton Camargo made a kick off. Ruud Gullit succeeded in the game's 51st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. In the 54th minute Igor Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmi Saksinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, one of Compugraf:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Compugraf. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Ramos in the 60th minute of play forced Estrela Solitária's goalkeeper Anselmi Saksinen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Túlio Maravilha took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chico Fernandez. Chico Fernandez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Chico Fernandez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruud Gullit showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 65 minute of play. Estrela Solitária's Vilhelm Norberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luís Guilherme Sampaio, made in the 69th minute of the game. Túlio Maravilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Fernandez having to interfere. Meng Ran's late challenge caught a Compugraf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Meng Ran helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Estrela Solitária getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Meng Ran hit a great ball. When Túlio Maravilha came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Estrela Solitária fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Túlio Maravilha couldn't finish the play. In the 78th match minute, Compugraf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the match, Estrela Solitária's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Ramos came free, but Anselmi Saksinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Guilherme Sampaio made in the 88th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Estrela Solitária's Rogério do Valle. With a little luck, Compugraf's Chico Fernandez got control of the ball when Túlio Maravilha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Compugraf's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Túlio Maravilha scored to the left of an out of position Chico Fernandez, making the score, 0-8. After some careless play in the Estrela Solitária defense, Igor Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmi Saksinen. The Estrela Solitária fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anselmi Saksinen should have stopped the shot. In the 96th minute Wilton Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmi Saksinen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Compugraf supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Estrela Solitária's performance. The match ended with a win for Estrela Solitária.
