In the 18th minute, Australian Youth Academy's Casper Keato dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Jeremy Todman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 played minutes Casper Keato rounded Disco Inferno FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-2. Todd Jackson took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ben Minton. Ben Minton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Australian Youth Academy's Ben Minton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Crocker in the 42nd minute of play. Jimmy Fraser made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berkeley Glover in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Fletcher Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Bradley Gorham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Ben Minton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bradley Gorham made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Disco Inferno FC's Dean Ayrton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ben Minton. That made the score 2-5 after 53 minutes of play. Berkeley Glover took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimmy Fraser. Jimmy Fraser dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-5. In the 63rd minute of the match, Bradley Gorham got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ben Minton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 64 played minutes Disco Inferno FC got a freekick which was hit by Dean Ayrton. Disco Inferno FC's Jimmy Fraser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casper Keato in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Crocker came free, but Ben Minton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humphry Delahide made in the 73rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Australian Youth Academy's Hank Bleazard.
