Humberto Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ellis Jeffress, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Disco Inferno FC's Jimmy Fraser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Baba in the 21st minute of play. When Ellis Jeffress came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Disco Inferno FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ellis Jeffress couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Carmichael Tinsley got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Dean Ayrton left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Disco Inferno FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Jackson in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Velasco saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. In the 35th minute, Disco Inferno FC's Ellis Jeffress dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. 40 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Ayrton came free, but Humberto Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Australian Youth Academy defense, Ellis Jeffress kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Velasco. The Australian Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Velasco should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 50 played minutes Disco Inferno FC got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Veiga. In the 51st minute, Paul Sparks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fletcher Baba got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 5-2 in the right cross in the 57th match minute before Jimmy Fraser had time to react. In the 59th minute, Australian Youth Academy's Fletcher Baba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jimmy Fraser. Jimmy Fraser yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-3. After some careless play in the Australian Youth Academy defense, Ellis Jeffress kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Velasco. The Australian Youth Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Velasco should have stopped the shot. Humberto Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ellis Jeffress in the 68th minute of play. Humberto Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Ayrton in the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Disco Inferno FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ellis Jeffress hit a great ball. Humberto Velasco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ellis Jeffress went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shaun Haley during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd minute Fletcher Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Fraser made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Fletcher Baba sent off a good shot on target. In the 87th minute, Dante Baba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jimmy Fraser. The goal made the score 7-4. In the 92nd minute, Ellis Jeffress hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Disco Inferno FC's Ellis Jeffress got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Fletcher Baba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jimmy Fraser made a huge save. Australian Youth Academy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
