In the 28th minute, Darian Trenoweth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddie Reina was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Brendan Gannan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phillip Finden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Gannan, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ellis Warren got free with Eddie Reina in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Brendan Gannan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darian Trenoweth was the one to do the kick off. When Glasston's Darian Trenoweth in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Phillip Finden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendan Gannan in the 57th minute of the match. Glasston's Phillip Finden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendan Gannan in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brendan Gannan got free with Phillip Finden in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carl Batterham charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Batterham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Glasston getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Carl Batterham hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Brendan Gannan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phillip Finden was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 74th minute Frenchville Sports Club were awarded a corner. Earle Lingwoodock went to the cornerflag to take it. Brendan Gannan struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. When Stephan Belford came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Glasston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephan Belford couldn't finish the play. Eddie Reina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darian Trenoweth in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Glasston fans cheered their team off the field, for while Frenchville Sports Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
