Stew Hicks kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 17 minutes Darwin Saville FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stew Hicks who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Russ Smee in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raymond Hanlen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stew Hicks in the 24th minute of play forced Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Raymond Hanlen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raymond Hanlen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Russ Smee in the 27th minute of the match. Raymond Hanlen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Hicks in the 29th minute of play. James Haydock kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 33 minutes, Stew Hicks made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Darwin Saville FC's Raymond Hanlen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Raymond Hanlen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Battle Holdsworth in the 37th minute of the match. Bath Clinton hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Raymond Hanlen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dean Martin, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dean Martin in the 41st minute of play forced Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Raymond Hanlen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, Darwin Saville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerrard Ambrose to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Burt Mcjunkin to strike the kick off in the second half. Battle Holdsworth succeeded in the game's 54th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stew Hicks in the 59th minute of play forced Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Raymond Hanlen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Stew Hicks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raymond Hanlen. Darwin Saville FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stew Hicks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 63 played minutes SnapperHeads F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Stew Hicks. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stew Hicks in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raymond Hanlen saved Darwin Saville FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerrard Ambrose during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jerrard Ambrose kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Battle Holdsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymond Hanlen having to interfere. Raymond Hanlen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Russ Smee showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 75 minute of play. In the 78th minute Stew Hicks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raymond Hanlen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SnapperHeads F.C. booed when Darwin Saville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randall Rummens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Russ Smee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Raymond Hanlen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Russ Smee struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Raymond Hanlen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SnapperHeads F.C.. After a defensive mix-up in Darwin Saville FC's zone, Russ Smee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raymond Hanlen came out of the goal and Russ Smee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darwin Saville FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Stew Hicks scored to the left of an out of position Raymond Hanlen, making the score, 0-8. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Battle Holdsworth took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Raymond Hanlen to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded SnapperHeads F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Darwin Saville FC.
