The audience was convinced that Russ Smee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jesse Brennand was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Russ Smee got free with Jesse Brennand in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Stratton FC defense, Russ Smee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesse Brennand. The Stratton FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesse Brennand should have stopped the shot. Jesse Brennand was a little too slow when Russ Smee got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 0-10.
