Alexander Quinnell came out of the goal and Jordon Stockwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bevis Chant hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Aaron Aylwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathan Bowman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bevis Chant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes, Matthias Pike mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB and the Darwin Saville FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexander Quinnell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bevis Chant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jenkins Turner hit a great ball. Alexander Quinnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bevis Chant in the 39th minute of the match. Darwin Saville FC were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bevis Chant took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Jordon Stockwin managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bevis Chant hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Burt Mcjunkin to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Alexander Quinnell got control of the ball when Bevis Chant tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Darwin Saville FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bath Clinton hit a great ball. In the 58th minute, Corder Kiel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nathan Bowman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Aylwin in the 64th minute of play forced Darwin Saville FC's goalkeeper Nathan Bowman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nathan Bowman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Aylwin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Burt Mcjunkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bevis Chant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Quinnell having to make a save. A well-hit corner resulted in David Kile heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Bevis Chant succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 87th playminute. If Bevis Chant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Despite being the better team, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
