Marcos Akerman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Neuer having to make a save. Xurde Buiza hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. When Obrero Barquisimeto's Otilio Galindez in 26 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Emanuel Neuer guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 29 played minutes Real Unión CF got a freekick which was hit by Yanne Callaerts. In the 31st minute, Otilio Galindez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, Yanne Callaerts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gaspar Torres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Obrero Barquisimeto's Noah Amadeo Lopez de Toro got a free kick in the 38th minute. Real Unión CF were furious when Karl-Magnus Torsberg was red carded, 41 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. With a little luck, Real Unión CF's Emanuel Neuer got control of the ball when Otilio Galindez tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Akerman in the 60th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Emanuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gutierre Chamorro in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaspar Torres saved Obrero Barquisimeto from getting behind. In the 68thth minute of the game Otilio Galindez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Unión CF's Emanuel Neuer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Castulo Quiroga hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Otilio Galindez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noah Amadeo Lopez de Toro kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Yanne Callaerts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Unión CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Real Unión CF made a substitution. Joaquim Valdueza replaced Sandalio Urquiaga. Xurde Buiza kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Xurde Buiza's late challenge caught a Real Unión CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xurde Buiza helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Lavdi Eminaj managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Unión CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lavdi Eminaj was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaspar Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Obrero Barquisimeto's Otilio Galindez got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Unión CF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
