The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Rayland FC's Roger Bannister nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hondo Iribarria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Roger Bannister scored to the left of an out of position Hondo Iribarria, making the score, 2-0. Hondo Iribarria was a little too slow when Endrick de Souza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 3-0. 26 minutes into the match, Reynardo Salto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hondo Iribarria. Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynardo Salto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 33rd minute Roger Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hondo Iribarria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rayland FC's Roger Bannister slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hondo Iribarria. That made the score 5-0 after 35 minutes of play. In the 39th minute, Endrick de Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hondo Iribarria. The goal made the score 6-0. Hondo Iribarria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bannister in the 44th minute of play. After 45th play minutes Roger Bannister shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Hondo Iribarria and just under the crossbar into goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

Hondo Iribarria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederic Ramm in the 54th minute of the match. When Ramond Mascareñas fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's protests and gave Ramond Mascareñas a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Berenjenas de Punto Fijo got a freekick which was hit by Ramond Mascareñas. Teodoro Hernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hondo Iribarria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Hernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. If Roger Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynardo Salto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hondo Iribarria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hondo Iribarria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Bannister went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's Inocente Romai got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Roger Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hondo Iribarria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hondo Iribarria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endrick de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Hondo Iribarria came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Rayland FC's Roger Bannister. But to his dismay, Roger Bannister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. Hondo Iribarria came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Rayland FC's Roger Bannister. But to his dismay, Roger Bannister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. 81 minutes into the match, Berenjenas de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Reynardo Salto came free, but Hondo Iribarria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hondo Iribarria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Bannister, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the Berenjenas de Punto Fijo defense, Roger Bannister kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hondo Iribarria. The Berenjenas de Punto Fijo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hondo Iribarria should have stopped the shot. If Reynardo Salto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute, Endrick de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayland FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 15-0. Hondo Iribarria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Endrick de Souza in the 97th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rayland FC fully deserved thier win.
