Spectators: 175 (Terracing: 132, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) Linterna verde's Fortunato Canal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Barto Reyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Calvete in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Fortunato Canal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barto Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Rumaldo Gayoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barto Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rumaldo Gayoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Calvete in the 25th minute of play forced Guaparo FC's goalkeeper Barto Reyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Guaparo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Canal came free, but Barto Reyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Meendez Sanchez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaparo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Meendez Sanchez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoilo Rojica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Fortunato Canal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linterna verde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Canal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Linterna verde booed when Guaparo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igon Caceo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Linterna verde were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Meendez Sanchez made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Fortunato Canal made a precise shot to the right of Barto Reyes. Guaparo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Barto Reyes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fortunato Canal's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Linterna verde's goal looked a bit too open when Meendez Sanchez came free, but Zoilo Rojica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaparo FC were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Linterna verde's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Meendez Sanchez took the corner. Guaparo FC's Barto Reyes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Guaparo FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 76 minutes, Fortunato Canal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linterna verde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Canal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rumaldo Gayoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oihenarte Mera's late challenge caught a Linterna verde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oihenarte Mera helped the player get up and apologised. Medardo Argudo in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barto Reyes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 81 minutes, Igon Caceo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaparo FC and the Linterna verde players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guaparo FC's Igon Caceo got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 89 played minutes Linterna verde got a freekick which was hit by Evelio Calvete. In the 90th minute, Medardo Argudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaparo FC were furious when Igon Caceo was red carded, 92 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, Linterna verde's Olivar Aldaeta got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Barto Reyes. When the final whistle sounded Linterna verde left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guaparo FC.
