In the 28th minute Stepan Kornilov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Mikulskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Mikulskiy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Romanchenko in the 35th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Romanchenko got free with Pavel Mikulskiy in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vsevolod Esenin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Mark Ustinov notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Voskresensk FC's Pavel Mikulskiy.
