Camillo Pasquino charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camillo Pasquino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Acilia Town getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Camillo Pasquino hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Dennis Castagna notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Acilia Town's Camillo Sciotto. Camillo Sciotto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Camillo Sciotto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Castagna went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When US Albenga's Dennis Castagna in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acilia Town's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the game, Dennis Castagna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Camillo Sciotto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. US Albenga's Elia Di Dio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Damiano Castagna, made in the 18th minute of the game. Davide Spadoni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Baruffa in the 23rd minute. Acilia Town's Fabio Baruffa got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Dennis Castagna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Castagna in the 30th minute of play forced Acilia Town's goalkeeper Camillo Sciotto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Felice Burgnich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acilia Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felice Burgnich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to US Albenga getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dennis Padula hit a great ball. Dennis Castagna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camillo Sciotto having to make a save. After 48 played minutes Acilia Town got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Pietrangelo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Davide Spadoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Villa, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Felice Burgnich hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute Dennis Castagna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Sciotto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Acilia Town got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Fortunato. Camillo Sciotto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Castagna in the 71st minute of the match. Alvise Restaino kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Acilia Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felice Burgnich to maneuver through the defense. Alvise Restaino's late challenge caught a Acilia Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alvise Restaino helped the player get up and apologised. Alvise Restaino kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dennis Castagna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvise Restaino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dennis Castagna scored 0-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camillo Sciotto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. US Albenga's Emanuele Egger suffered a sprained foot after 95 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 96th minute, Cesare Pietrangelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. US Albenga's Armin Muto was substituted for Emanuele Egger. After a rather tough play, Acilia Town's Cesare Pietrangelo got a free kick in the 96th minute. Camillo Sciotto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Castagna in the 98th minute of the match. US Albenga's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
