Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Armando Villa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the match, Acilia Town's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Pasquale came free, but Camillo Sciotto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Travaglini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Sciotto having to interfere. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lilywhites! Ercole Faiella had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Armando Villa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Carlo Pasquale tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Camillo Sciotto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Armando Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ercole Faiella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Garofalo charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Garofalo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 19 minutes into the game, one of Acilia Town:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Camillo Sciotto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlo Pasquale's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Armando Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Faiella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Armando Villa put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ercole Faiella. After 30 minutes, Edmondo Piattelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lilywhites and the Acilia Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edmondo Piattelli hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Villa in the 33rd minute of play forced Lilywhites's goalkeeper Ercole Faiella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Faiella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Baruffa in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes Lilywhites's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diego Garofalo who took care of the corner kick. Acilia Town's Diego Garofalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ercole Faiella in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 43rd minute, Cristoforo Ranieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
With a little luck, Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella got control of the ball when Fabio Baruffa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lilywhites's Carlo Pasquale in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acilia Town's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Carlo Pasquale sped through Acilia Town's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Camillo Sciotto. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Edmondo Carciofo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lilywhites's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmondo Carciofo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo Sciotto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Lilywhites's zone, Armando Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ercole Faiella came out of the goal and Armando Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 74 minutes into the game, Armando Villa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ercole Faiella. Armando Villa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. If Cristiano Travaglini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Lilywhites got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Piattelli. Lilywhites's Ercole Faiella proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Lilywhites from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute Armando Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ercole Faiella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lilywhites's Edmondo Carciofo got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Travaglini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Villa struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ercole Faiella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acilia Town. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Baruffa got free with Ercole Faiella in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ercole Faiella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acilia Town's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
