The ball had pretty good speed, but Achille Ferreri firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Velester Football Club's Achille Ferreri got control of the ball when Aurelio Mameli tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Armando Villa came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Acilia Town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Villa couldn't finish the play. After 12 minutes, Attilio Gizzi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Velester Football Club and the Acilia Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Velester Football Club getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Attilio Gizzi hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Fabio Baruffa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Achille Ferreri, passed just outside the right post. In the 18th minute, Acilia Town's Armando Villa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Achille Ferreri. Achille Ferreri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, Fabio Baruffa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Achille Ferreri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Achille Ferreri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Baruffa in the 26th minute. Velester Football Club's Achille Ferreri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Velester Football Club from getting a goal against them. In the 35th minute, Armando Villa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acilia Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 45 minutes into the game, Federico Di Giacomo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velester Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acilia Town the free kick. After 45 played minutes Velester Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Federico Di Giacomo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

57 minutes into the match, Armando Villa notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Velester Football Club's Achille Ferreri. Achille Ferreri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Enrico Costantino came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Velester Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrico Costantino couldn't finish the play. Velester Football Club's Achille Ferreri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Villa in the 64th minute of play. Acilia Town's Armando Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Velester Football Club's zone, Amedeo Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achille Ferreri came out of the goal and Amedeo Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the game, Armando Villa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Achille Ferreri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Armando Villa took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Achille Ferreri. Achille Ferreri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Achille Ferreri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Villa went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Armando Villa scored 9-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Achille Ferreri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Baruffa in the 95th minute of play forced Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Achille Ferreri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Acilia Town players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
