When Cosimo Serra fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored I ritirandi di Canaus's protests and gave Cosimo Serra a yellow card for diving instead. Arrigo Cino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Daniele Raniolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, I ritirandi di Canaus's Cosimo Serra got a free kick in the 10th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Arrigo Cino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Daniele Raniolo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st minute, Augusto Castagna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, I ritirandi di Canaus's Dino De Gregorio got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute, Diego Crispino made a precise shot to the right of Camillo Ruggieri. Monkey D.Luffy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Monkey D.Luffy's Filippo Campoli got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th minute Diego Crispino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Ruggieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camillo Ruggieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Chizzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino De Gregorio couldn't finish the play. Ennio Colombi's late challenge caught a I ritirandi di Canaus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ennio Colombi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Monkey D.Luffy getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Ennio Colombi hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
If Cesare Chizzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Diego Crispino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Camillo Ruggieri, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cesare Chizzo managed to get in a good position for a shot. I ritirandi di Canaus's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesare Chizzo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camillo Ruggieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ennio Colombi took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniele Raniolo. Daniele Raniolo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Camillo Ruggieri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesare Chizzo in the 74th minute. Ennio Colombi kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Diego Crispino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Camillo Ruggieri, 2-3. 84 minutes into the match, I ritirandi di Canaus's Cesare Chizzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camillo Ruggieri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Monkey D.Luffy got a freekick which was hit by Edmondo Scarpa. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monkey D.Luffy's goalkeeper Camillo Ruggieri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camillo Ruggieri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diego Crispino went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Fortunato Ali hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesare Chizzo got free with Camillo Ruggieri in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ciro Grieco kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Diego Crispino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over I ritirandi di Canaus could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Monkey D.Luffy throughout the match.
