The supporters of Zola Predosa FC booed when FC Aquile Azzurre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriano Coccia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ennio Scafati sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Ruggeri in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Peruzzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, FC Aquile Azzurre's Angelo Peruzzi got control of the ball when Ennio Scafati tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Zola Predosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Klose came free, but Anselmo Felli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Miro Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Felli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zola Predosa FC's Dino Teodori got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Miro Klose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Felli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide De Paolis in the 37th minute of play forced FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 played minutes Zola Predosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrea Gelsomini. Anselmo Felli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Peruzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Ruggeri, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Miro Klose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Zola Predosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Klose came free, but Anselmo Felli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miro Klose in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Felli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennio Scafati in the 58th minute of play forced FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miro Klose recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Claudio Ruggeri fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zola Predosa FC's protests and gave Claudio Ruggeri a yellow card for diving instead. Anselmo Felli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miro Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zola Predosa FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frank Nelli was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Aquile Azzurre's players had a chance to rest. Ferruccio Basile was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Miro Klose in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Felli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 87th minute Davide De Paolis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Peruzzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Miro Klose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Aquile Azzurre were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Zola Predosa FC's much stronger midfield.
