Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Fryderyk Majusiak started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aversa's goalkeeper Dave Bassani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Aversa defense, Fryderyk Majusiak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dave Bassani. The Aversa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dave Bassani should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute Fryderyk Majusiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Bassani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Atletico Benevento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Fioriti to maneuver through the defense. Dave Bassani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fryderyk Majusiak in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Majusiak in the 17th minute of play forced Aversa's goalkeeper Dave Bassani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Aversa's Enrico Faccio got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Fryderyk Majusiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Bassani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessio Troiani in the 34th minute of the match. Dave Bassani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Comunardo Pocobello in the 36th minute of play. Bruno Castrucci hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Amerigo Astolfi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atletico Benevento fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dave Bassani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Astolfi in the 40th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damiano De Zorzi was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Castrucci kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. If Fryderyk Majusiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Aversa's goalkeeper Dave Bassani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giacomo Guarisi. When Giacomo Guarisi fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Benevento's protests and gave Giacomo Guarisi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Aversa booed when Atletico Benevento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giacomo Guarisi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atletico Benevento made a substitution. Eraldo Brini replaced Aldo Fioriti. Giacomo Guarisi hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Amerigo Astolfi came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Atletico Benevento fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amerigo Astolfi couldn't finish the play. Aversa's Dave Bassani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fryderyk Majusiak in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Aversa's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Majusiak came free, but Dave Bassani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Aversa's goalie and right to Giacomo Guarisi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Aversa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giacomo Guarisi in the 76th minute of play forced Aversa's goalkeeper Dave Bassani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Aversa booed when Atletico Benevento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Ciccone didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fryderyk Majusiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 90 played minutes Aversa got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Galliani. Amerigo Astolfi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Dave Bassani made a huge save. A hard shot 92 in the game by Amerigo Astolfi from a close distance when the talented Dave Bassani managed to make a qualified save. Aversa's players were relieved.
