The Carloforte f.c. fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Carloforte f.c.'s Alessandro Iacovella looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Beppe Savoia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Carloforte f.c. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Amedeo Orioli hit a great ball. Cacciola's Luiz Fabiano Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo De Vito in the 18th minute of play. Daan Jurásek hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Luiz Fabiano Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Iacovella in the 19th minute of play. Carloforte f.c. were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Cacciola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armin Scotti took the corner. Emiliano Bani thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Luiz Fabiano Vieira, a very annoying self made goal in the 21st minute which led to 0-2. Concetto Fallito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the game, one of Cacciola:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alessandro Iacovella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fabiano Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Beppe Savoia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniele Arioli in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute Alessandro Iacovella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 51st minute of the game Armin Scotti made a throw-in which Alessandro Angelucci played forward. A collision led to Cacciola getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. After 53 played minutes, Carloforte f.c.'s Armin Scotti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Vieira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carloforte f.c. reached it. The audience was convinced that Daniele Arioli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beppe Savoia was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Luiz Fabiano Vieira made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Arturo De Vito sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carloforte f.c. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cacciola.
