After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Fabiano Monaco managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S.C. NAPOLI's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabiano Monaco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Simone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Simone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nejat Özoğuz in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, A.S. Ian Fenomeni was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferruccio Castronovo to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Ciccio Bozzelli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Simone showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Nejat Özoğuz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Nejat Özoğuz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Simone. A.S. Ian Fenomeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nejat Özoğuz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Anthony Tonon kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ciccio Bozzelli's shot from long distance in the 17th minute was not bad at all, but A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Ian Fenomeni and the S.S.C. NAPOLI players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nejat Özoğuz in the 22nd minute of play. If Ciccio Bozzelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Nejat Özoğuz managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S.C. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bebeto Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antonio Simone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Bozzelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute, Nejat Özoğuz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Diego De Lorenzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goalkeeper Emilio Cellucci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edoardo Pelati. 58 minutes into the match, A.S. Ian Fenomeni's goal looked a bit too open when Nejat Özoğuz came free, but Antonio Simone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Amos Colucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, Nejat Özoğuz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of A.S. Ian Fenomeni's Antonio Simone. Antonio Simone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antonio Simone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nejat Özoğuz, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Armando Barone left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.S.C. NAPOLI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Antonio Simone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nejat Özoğuz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Nejat Özoğuz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Simone was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Armando Barone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Antonio Simone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Emilio Cellucci got control of the ball when Bebeto Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciccio Bozzelli scored 5-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antonio Simone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ciccio Bozzelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Simone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nejat Özoğuz in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes A.S. Ian Fenomeni's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciccio Bozzelli who took care of the corner kick. The corner led S.S.C. NAPOLI's Ciccio Bozzelli to fire away a dangerous shot which Antonio Simone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 94th minute Ciccio Bozzelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Simone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Armando Barone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.S.C. NAPOLI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Barone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.S.C. NAPOLI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
