The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The PowerHawKings fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when PowerHawKings's Gerry Scotti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 5 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerry Scotti. In the 10th minute Beppe Zoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Ruggeri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvise Di Berardino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Sabatino having to interfere. If Alvise Di Berardino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 24 in the game by Gerry Scotti from a close distance when the talented Domenico Sabatino managed to make a qualified save. Sorci Viola's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Cesaroni in the 26th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PowerHawKings's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alvise Di Berardino in the 27th minute. A collision led to Sorci Viola getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ettore Teti hit a great ball. After 42 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Toninelli. Gerry Scotti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domenico Sabatino having to make a save. After 46 played minutes Sorci Viola got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Toninelli.

The wind increased when Gerry Scotti made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Scotti in the 55th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PowerHawKings's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sorci Viola the free kick. After 75 played minutes PowerHawKings got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Cesaroni. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Bellomo during the 76th minute.
