Borgo Doria F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Marcelli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Cristoforo Cesare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Melucci in the 11th minute of play. Ettore Albertini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anfilogino Consalvi's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Anfilogino Consalvi sped through Lunatics of Arianrhod's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ettore Albertini. Alex Marcelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Cesare having to interfere. Cristoforo Cesare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Marcelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ettore Albertini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Tellini in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Cristoforo Tellini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borgo Doria F.C.! Cristoforo Cesare had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Amerigo Melucci's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Amerigo Melucci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Cesare read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Cristoforo Tellini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Albertini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Lunatics of Arianrhod:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Borgo Doria F.C.:s goal. 35 minutes into the game, Arrigo Sciarretta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ettore Albertini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristoforo Cesare showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Marcelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, Alex Marcelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristoforo Cesare was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Ettore Albertini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Sciarretta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the game, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Arrigo Sciarretta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ettore Albertini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Marcelli made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Borgo Doria F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Amerigo Melucci came free, but Cristoforo Cesare reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Alex Marcelli recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristoforo Cesare. Alex Marcelli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. In the 61st minute, Corrado Urbani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 62 in the game by Alex Marcelli from a close distance when the talented Cristoforo Cesare managed to make a qualified save. Borgo Doria F.C.'s players were relieved. In the 63rd minute, Ettore Corvi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristoforo Cesare was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. In the 67th match minute, Lunatics of Arianrhod was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bianco Di Paola to maneuver through the defense. Cristoforo Cesare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Marcelli in the 70th minute of play. Arrigo Sciarretta kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Alex Marcelli spun around in front of the goal 75 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Borgo Doria F.C.'s goal. Amerigo Melucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Cesare having to interfere. Ettore Corvi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristoforo Cesare made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Alex Marcelli sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute, Federico Puglielli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ettore Albertini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristoforo Tellini, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Amerigo Melucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ettore Corvi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Cesare having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
