When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Emilio Dossena took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Elia Bellone to make any attempt to save it. 10 minutes into the match, San Felice a Ema U.L.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Dossena came free, but Elia Bellone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Udinese got a freekick which was hit by Filippo Di Cesare. The supporters of San Felice a Ema U.L. booed when A.S. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Emilio Dossena took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Elia Bellone to make any attempt to save it. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Michael-Peter Koenig replaced Ferenc Kocsis. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Gigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Ottaviani, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fulvio Eleuteri got free with Gigi Donnarumma in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Enrico Mastrangelo charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
