As Melfi 1929's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Roma the free kick. Domenico Bonfigli kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Demetrio Vespa in the 30th minute of play forced As Melfi 1929's goalkeeper Dave Padula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Davide Muciaccia came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the As Melfi 1929 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Davide Muciaccia couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Antonio Cerasoli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AC Roma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. In the 42nd minute, Demetrio Vespa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dave Padula was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Dave Padula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio Vespa in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Demetrio Vespa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, As Melfi 1929's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Cerasoli came free, but Dave Padula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonio Cerasoli hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Emiliano Cinalli kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Demetrio Vespa made a precise shot to the right of Dave Padula. As Melfi 1929's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7.
