Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Aurelio Barresi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Epifani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute AC Roma were awarded a corner. Angelo Marcelli went to the cornerflag to take it. When Ferruccio Rinaldi fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiator FC's protests and gave Ferruccio Rinaldi a yellow card for diving instead. Ferruccio Rinaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Aurelio Epifani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demetrio Vespa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Roma's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Angelo Marcelli in the 14th minute. After taking down the ball on AC Roma's corner Angelo Marcelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelio Epifani quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th minute Fabiano Tatangelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Cirulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gladiator FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabiano Tatangelo in the 16th minute. Gladiator FC's Fabiano Tatangelo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Anselmo Cirulli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Demetrio Vespa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Aurelio Epifani made a huge save. The supporters of Gladiator FC booed when AC Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Orlandi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gladiator FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ferruccio Rinaldi hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Aurelio Epifani successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 36 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Di Silvio. 39 minutes into the game, Gladiator FC's Fabiano Tatangelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Cirulli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in AC Roma's zone, Fabiano Tatangelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Cirulli came out of the goal and Fabiano Tatangelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Epifani made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Emilio Di Fazio sent off a good shot on target. Demetrio Vespa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Demetrio Vespa made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Fabiano Tatangelo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anselmo Cirulli. Fabiano Tatangelo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Anselmo Cirulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bianco Carozza in the 60th minute of the match. Aurelio Epifani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Vespa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Fabiano Rossi kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Aldo Ubriaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Epifani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Barresi in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Aurelio Barresi made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Epifani. Gladiator FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Anselmo Cirulli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Carozza in the 83rd minute of play. AC Roma's Demetrio Vespa got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, Gladiator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bianco Carozza to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Marchegiani kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Gladiator FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over AC Roma's much stronger midfield.
