With a couple of smart ball manuevers Killian Charbonnier in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Éluard Coulomb saved FC Saubrigues from getting behind. When Edmond Coiffier fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Saubrigues's protests and gave Edmond Coiffier a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mans booed when FC Saubrigues was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmond Coiffier didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Salomon Buffet got free with Didier Lefebvre in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC Saubrigues's zone, Roland Ageorges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Éluard Coulomb came out of the goal and Roland Ageorges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Edmond Coiffier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mans's Didier Lefebvre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mans from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute Faudel Langlois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Lefebvre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Ageorges kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Didier Lefebvre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faudel Langlois in the 23rd minute of play. Killian Charbonnier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salomon Buffet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Didier Lefebvre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernard Thil kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Roland Ageorges kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Saubrigues booed when Mans was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Drieu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didier Lefebvre made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Salomon Buffet sent off a good shot on target. Éluard Coulomb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Killian Charbonnier, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd minute Killian Charbonnier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Éluard Coulomb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Mans got a freekick which was hit by Roland Ageorges. In the 46th minute, Roland Ageorges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mans fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Killian Charbonnier who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Éluard Coulomb when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Mans getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ahmed Drieu hit a great ball. In the 65th minute, Mans's Roland Ageorges dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Killian Charbonnier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Éluard Coulomb having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FC Saubrigues's Edmond Coiffier got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Roland Ageorges came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Mans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Ageorges couldn't finish the play. If Matthieu Macquet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Éluard Coulomb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Signoret, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Faudel Langlois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Didier Lefebvre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kevin Signoret came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Mans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Signoret couldn't finish the play. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mans! In the 94th minute, Hamza Loaëc left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Saubrigues fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Killian Charbonnier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Éluard Coulomb made a huge save.
