The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles-Emmanuel Bouquet got free with Nelson Cloarec in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malcom Gauvrit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davy Giacomoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Nelson Cloarec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghislain Couet in the 37th minute of play. Nelson Cloarec was a little too slow when Jean-Charles Desmoulins got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 4-0. 43 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goalkeeper Nelson Cloarec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles-Emmanuel Bouquet. 45 minutes into the match, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Charles Desmoulins came free, but Nelson Cloarec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean-Charles Desmoulins was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Formation Pure Lyonnaise's Rémi Lys got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 88th minute Charles-Emmanuel Bouquet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Cloarec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
