The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nemesio Bernal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Eyague in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Feliberto Eyague notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pakorro AFC's Nemesio Bernal. Nemesio Bernal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute, Angulo Cabañero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nemesio Bernal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Nemesio Bernal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Eyague in the 19th minute of play. Nemesio Bernal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angulo Cabañero's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Tomás Mangueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nemesio Bernal. Pakorro AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomás Mangueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 31st minute Paulo Román shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Pakorro AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Mangueira came free, but Nemesio Bernal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Feliberto Eyague made a precise shot to the right of Nemesio Bernal. Pakorro AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Jorge Rocio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Antoni Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jeremias Murillo to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Paulo Román had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nemesio Bernal. Pakorro AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Román was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Pakorro AFC made a substitution. Marcos Pabla replaced Timoteo Corderun. After 61 played minutes Pakorro AFC got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Murillo. Astros de México's Leonides Arlo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Pakorro AFC defense, Severo Primo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nemesio Bernal. The Pakorro AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nemesio Bernal should have stopped the shot. Astros de México's Ezequiel Aurre was substituted for Tomás Mangueira. Elpidio Mino's late challenge caught a Astros de México's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elpidio Mino helped the player get up and apologised. Elpidio Mino kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Nemesio Bernal was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leonides Arlo. Carlos Froila lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 73rd minute, one of Pakorro AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pakorro AFC. Astros de México's Vito Quintal was substituted for Fernando Menendo. Angulo Cabañero kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Feliberto Eyague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Astros de México's Severo Primo got a free kick in the 97th minute. Astros de México's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
