Silverio Bieito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Maore, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Armando Florin made a great header on Equipo's corner, it was just that Hermosillo FC's Silverio Bieito managed to reach the ball for a save. If Samuel Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silverio Bieito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Eufemio in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of Hermosillo FC booed when Equipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Rio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Equipo's Orlando Leoiar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Equipo from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Samuel Laurentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermosillo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Laurentzi was the one to do the kick off. Marciano Frasco scored 3-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orlando Leoiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silverio Bieito made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Florentino Eufemio sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Jaume during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Equipo getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Leonardo Jaume hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Equipo's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Primeiro came free, but Orlando Leoiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Laurentzi took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orlando Leoiar. Orlando Leoiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After some careless play in the Equipo defense, Donato Adrio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orlando Leoiar. The Equipo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orlando Leoiar should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Laurentzi in the 72nd minute of play forced Equipo's goalkeeper Orlando Leoiar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Equipo's Anacleto Maore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silverio Bieito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Equipo's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Laurentzi came free, but Orlando Leoiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patricio Baudelio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Patricio Baudelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Equipo's zone, Amadeo Primeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlando Leoiar came out of the goal and Amadeo Primeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ezequiel Goi's late challenge caught a Hermosillo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Goi helped the player get up and apologised. After 87 played minutes Equipo got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Goi. In the 89th minute, Raul Frantzes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Hermosillo FC were the better team. Hermosillo FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
