The audience was convinced that Toro Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silverio Bieito was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Silverio Bieito didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Godofredo Rik went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 8 played minutes Hermosillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Adrio. After 10 minutes, Hélio Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Fe and the Hermosillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Hermosillo FC booed when Santa Fe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Laurentzi in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Shao Jing Yuan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Samuel Laurentzi got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 13th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. The nice shot from Samuel Laurentzi in the 13thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Shao Jing Yuan had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Shao Jing Yuan made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Samuel Laurentzi sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Hermosillo FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Juanito Šnajder hit a great ball. Victorio Dino kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Sandro Coisne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silverio Bieito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Montes came free, but Silverio Bieito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Venancio Bertol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Bieito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Bieito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Murillo in the 38th minute of play. Venancio Bertol scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Silverio Bieito, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venancio Bertol in the 47th minute of play forced Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper Silverio Bieito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toro Murillo made a kick off. Venancio Bertol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Silverio Bieito made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Hermosillo FC's Marciano Frasco got a free kick in the 59th minute. Hermosillo FC's Silverio Bieito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Venancio Bertol in the 60th minute of play. Donato Adrio's late challenge caught a Santa Fe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donato Adrio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hermosillo FC's Donato Adrio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Samuel Laurentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hermosillo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 69th minute Conrado Mirande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shao Jing Yuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes Santa Fe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amadeo Primeiro who took care of the corner kick. 79 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Montes came free, but Silverio Bieito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Eliott Pépin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silverio Bieito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Bieito was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Emiliano Victoro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, Hermosillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juanito Šnajder to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Santa Fe's Sandro Coisne tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Shao Jing Yuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Laurentzi's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Hermosillo FC's Silverio Bieito got control of the ball when Eliott Pépin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santa Fe's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
