The referee ignored Racing Club's protests and gave Angelo Sayvion a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 minutes of play, Águilas Poblanas's Benigno Froila made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Quirze was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Monico got free with Damian Quirze in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes Águilas Poblanas got a freekick which was hit by Moises Nisio. 27 minutes into the game, Águilas Poblanas's Timoteo Elija nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Damian Quirze made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Damian Quirze made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Virgilio Monico sent off a good shot on target. The wind increased when Angelo Sayvion made the kick off in the second half. Águilas Poblanas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
