With an all-out effort, Halcones Azules's Damian Quirze threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fausto Salvino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Karl-Oskar Odén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Pero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Salvino charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Salvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Salvino to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones Azules's zone, Ezequiel Pero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Oskar Odén came out of the goal and Ezequiel Pero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Ivan Felipo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Ivan Felipo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Halcones Azules's Karl-Oskar Odén did a great save. Damian Quirze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Astor Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lázaro Navarro took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Quirze. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Pero in the 46th minute of play forced Halcones Azules's goalkeeper Karl-Oskar Odén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Isaio's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benito Isaio helped the player get up and apologised.

Damian Quirze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Salvino in the 54th minute of play. Ezequiel Pero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Felipo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damian Quirze showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Damian Quirze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Salvino in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Naelio came free, but Damian Quirze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Lázaro Navarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Racing Club's Damian Quirze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Naelio in the 69th minute of play. Damian Quirze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Naelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 87th minute Fausto Salvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Quirze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Quirze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
