After 7 played minutes FC Philotimo got a freekick which was hit by Sotomayor Pendones. René Redondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotomayor Pendones, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute Sotomayor Pendones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Redondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. René Redondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delgado Tendiero in the 16th minute of the match. Rixon Viso charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rixon Viso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CD Golozos's Rixon Viso got a free kick in the 18th minute. Sotomayor Pendones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without René Redondo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotomayor Pendones in the 21st minute of play forced CD Golozos's goalkeeper René Redondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. René Redondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delgado Tendiero, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Sotomayor Pendones might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over René Redondo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sotomayor Pendones ran back to his position shaking his head. Sotomayor Pendones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Redondo having to interfere. After having played for 35 minutes, Sotomayor Pendones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Philotimo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sotomayor Pendones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Sotomayor Pendones left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Philotimo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delgado Tendiero in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Redondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Delgado Tendiero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Philotimo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 47 minutes into the match, CD Golozos's goal looked a bit too open when Sotomayor Pendones came free, but René Redondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
After 50 played minutes FC Philotimo got a freekick which was hit by Felix Artiaga. 51 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Betancourt came free, but Aguirre Almarza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of CD Golozos booed when FC Philotimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vico Lloret didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Xacintu Cerdeiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aguirre Almarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Mercado Broz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Delgado Tendiero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but René Redondo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. René Redondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delgado Tendiero in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, CD Golozos's René Redondo got control of the ball when Sotomayor Pendones tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match FC Philotimo got a corner. CD Golozos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sotomayor Pendones ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC Philotimo's corner Sotomayor Pendones fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and René Redondo quite easily take care of the ball. Sotomayor Pendones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Redondo having to interfere. After 83 minutes CD Golozos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sotomayor Pendones who took care of the corner kick. In the 83rd match minute, FC Philotimo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delgado Tendiero to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD Golozos's goalkeeper René Redondo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CD Golozos's René Redondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotomayor Pendones in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Felix Artiaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sotomayor Pendones took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised René Redondo. René Redondo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 95 minutes into the match, FC Philotimo's Sotomayor Pendones sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that René Redondo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Philotimo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
