Spectators: 195 (Terracing: 147, Seating: 45, VIP seats: 3) 2 minutes into the match, Sotomayor Pendones dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zaquiel Monta, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delgado Tendiero got free with Zaquiel Monta in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quiñónez Louzara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Díaz Camargo in the 8th minute of play. If Sotomayor Pendones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Delgado Tendiero came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the FC Philotimo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delgado Tendiero couldn't finish the play. Sotomayor Pendones took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zaquiel Monta. Zaquiel Monta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zxavian Balaguer in the 14th minute of play forced FC Philotimo's goalkeeper Quiñónez Louzara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delgado Tendiero scored 3-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zaquiel Monta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Esmeraldas S.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Borja Colombres hit a great ball. In the 19th minute of the match Sotomayor Pendones sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zaquiel Monta skillfully saved the ball. Zaquiel Monta came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Philotimo's Delgado Tendiero. But to his dismay, Delgado Tendiero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Zaquiel Monta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sotomayor Pendones, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Quiñónez Louzara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Díaz Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Yago Casadevante was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Quiñónez Louzara in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Philotimo's Delgado Tendiero got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 38 minutes, Zxavian Balaguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeraldas S.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zxavian Balaguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, Esmeraldas S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borja Colombres to maneuver through the defense. Zxavian Balaguer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sotomayor Pendones made a kick off. Sotomayor Pendones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Zxavian Balaguer, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Quiñónez Louzara was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Esmeraldas S.C. booed when FC Philotimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delgado Tendiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guagua Cabañero got free with Quiñónez Louzara in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute Díaz Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quiñónez Louzara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zaquiel Monta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sotomayor Pendones in the 76th minute of the match. Delgado Tendiero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sotomayor Pendones hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Zaquiel Monta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sotomayor Pendones in the 92nd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Esmeraldas S.C.'s Guagua Cabañero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Philotimo could leave the field as winners, despite Esmeraldas S.C. having more of the ball for most of the match.
