Díaz Camargo hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Xacintu Cerdeiras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Zaquiel Monta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Zxavian Balaguer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Díaz Camargo in the 11th minute of play forced CD Golozos's goalkeeper René Redondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Yago Casadevante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zxavian Balaguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Redondo having to interfere. In the 19th minute Díaz Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Redondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. René Redondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Díaz Camargo in the 21st minute of the match. When Zxavian Balaguer came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Esmeraldas S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zxavian Balaguer couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Díaz Camargo in the 25th minute of play forced CD Golozos's goalkeeper René Redondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. René Redondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zxavian Balaguer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yago Casadevante kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Díaz Camargo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Díaz Camargo in the 41st minute of play forced CD Golozos's goalkeeper René Redondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Pedro Trabado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Golozos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esmeraldas S.C. the free kick. Pedro Trabado kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Sebastián Betancourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zaquiel Monta having to interfere. René Redondo made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Zxavian Balaguer sent off a good shot on target. Esmeraldas S.C.'s Zaquiel Monta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacintu Cerdeiras in the 68th minute of play. Yago Casadevante hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Xacintu Cerdeiras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Díaz Camargo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mercado Broz's late challenge caught a Esmeraldas S.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mercado Broz helped the player get up and apologised. Mercado Broz hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Díaz Camargo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but René Redondo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 85th minute of the match Esmeraldas S.C. got a corner. CD Golozos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Castillo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Castillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this René Redondo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 93rd minute of the match, Díaz Camargo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but René Redondo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The CD Golozos supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Esmeraldas S.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Esmeraldas S.C..
