After some careless play in the Esmeraldas S.C. defense, Zuri Macías kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zaquiel Monta. The Esmeraldas S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zaquiel Monta should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the match, Zuri Macías had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zaquiel Monta. Esmeraldas S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zuri Macías was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Zuri Macías sped through Esmeraldas S.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zaquiel Monta. Angel Araoz made in the 35th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edson Cantillo immediately put the ball in play. Zaquiel Monta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zuri Macías, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Díaz Camargo in the 40th minute of play forced Azul Y Plomo's goalkeeper Cristian Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaquiel Monta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, Esmeraldas S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Vidaurre to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Rogerio Arcos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azul Y Plomo's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogerio Arcos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zaquiel Monta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Afiz Yeo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Azul Y Plomo fans jumped to their feet. Zaquiel Monta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Azul Y Plomo's Cristian Diegotxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Castillo in the 72nd minute of play. After 75 played minutes Esmeraldas S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zxavian Balaguer. If Reynaldo Håland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zaquiel Monta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Håland, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Borja Colombres hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Håland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
