In the 39th minute of the match, Justavino Cortez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but René Redondo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 47th minute, CD Golozos's Romero Bolante seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romero Bolante the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CD Golozos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romero Bolante had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 48th minute, Romero Bolante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The CD Golozos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that René Redondo should have stopped the shot. Justavino Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
