Ignacio Sotilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulizes Sola went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ignacio Sotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulizes Sola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, Zenon Santin notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte. Walter Huarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 39th play minute Hidalgo Babiano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Walter Huarte. 3-1. Hidalgo Babiano in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, Zenon Santin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Huarte came out of the goal and Zenon Santin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walter Huarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hidalgo Babiano in the 76th minute of play. In the 77thth minute of the game Zenon Santin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walter Huarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zenon Santin's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hidalgo Babiano in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Huarte saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. After 82 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Pablo-Enrique Oneca. After 83 played minutes, YerBaTerOs's Xencio Galaz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Walter Huarte came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in YerBaTerOs reached it. In the 89th minute, Hidalgo Babiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walter Huarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1.
