Club Deportivo Santiago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelona de América the free kick. After 5 played minutes Club Deportivo Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Zuri Espinosa. Guerrero Marva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Zuberoa Mesia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Santiago's goal looked a bit too open when Xacobo Isern came free, but Santino Mora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barcelona de América's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Pedro Loarte scored to the left of an out of position Guerrero Marva, making the score, 2-0. Santino Mora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Casanande in the 35th minute of the match. Sotomayor Mesia kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Zeru Mendana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Valentin Criado fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcelona de América's protests and gave Valentin Criado a yellow card for diving instead. Valentin Criado kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Arturo Montiel came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guerrero Marva could save by the left post. Club Deportivo Santiago were furious when Sotomayor Mesia was red carded, 45 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 44th minute, one of Club Deportivo Santiago:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Deportivo Santiago. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Santiago defense, Juan Sobre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santino Mora. The Club Deportivo Santiago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santino Mora should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
In the 53rd minute, Garcia Puga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th minute, Zuri Espinosa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Barcelona de América's Guerrero Marva didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Montiel in the 57th minute of play forced Barcelona de América's goalkeeper Guerrero Marva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th match minute, Barcelona de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Llantada to maneuver through the defense. Guerrero Marva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Montiel in the 60th minute of play. Barcelona de América's Guerrero Marva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Montiel in the 62nd minute of play. Felix Llantada hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Arturo Montiel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guerrero Marva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Loarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guerrero Marva having to interfere. Guerrero Marva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Montiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Barcelona de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garcia Puga to maneuver through the defense. Guerrero Marva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Montiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Club Deportivo Santiago booed when Barcelona de América was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garcia Puga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Loarte took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guerrero Marva. Guerrero Marva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Barcelona de América's Guerrero Marva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Terres in the 88th minute of play. After 89 played minutes Club Deportivo Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Zuberoa Mesia. Zuri Espinosa hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Pedro Loarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcelona de América players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Deportivo Santiago.
