The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Zuberoa Mesia made a precise shot to the right of Ordóñez Cuesta. Taltum FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 7th minute, Asensio Mendoza made a precise shot to the right of Santino Mora. Club Deportivo Santiago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 10 minutes into the match, Asensio Mendoza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora. Santino Mora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the game, Zuberoa Mesia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ordóñez Cuesta. Zuberoa Mesia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Ordóñez Cuesta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Loarte in the 16th minute of the match. Arturo Montiel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Ordóñez Cuesta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 25 minutes of play, Club Deportivo Santiago's Zuberoa Mesia made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ordóñez Cuesta was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 played minutes Club Deportivo Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Loarte. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Montiel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Asensio Mendoza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taltum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Asensio Mendoza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santino Mora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute Zuberoa Mesia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ordóñez Cuesta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Taltum FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Terres came free, but Ordóñez Cuesta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 61 minutes on the clock, Fabio Rallo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Club Deportivo Santiago a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sotomayor Mesia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Taltum FC's Ordóñez Cuesta. 4-2. A collision led to Taltum FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ricardo Velarroa hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Evelio Terres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ordóñez Cuesta was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Taltum FC's Ordóñez Cuesta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Loarte in the 73rd minute of play. Club Deportivo Santiago's Santino Mora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Santiago from getting a goal against them. Santino Mora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asensio Mendoza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santino Mora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Asensio Mendoza in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Santiago's Zeru Mendana got a free kick in the 97th minute. After 98 played minutes, Taltum FC's Mellington Aniego shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santino Mora came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taltum FC reached it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Deportivo Santiago fans cheered their team off the field, for while Taltum FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
