When Inter de Guayaquil FC's Blanco Lambarida in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ornopata's goalie prevented a goal. The throw-in from Eugenio Laincera in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Inter de Guayaquil FC's Bottero Ramallal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ornopata's goalkeeper Obregón Busto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Blanco Lambarida made a precise shot to the right of Obregón Busto. Ornopata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Inda in the 25th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Zuriko Lagala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Mora to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zuriko Bernaldo in the 26th minute of play forced Inter de Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Zuriko Lagala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ornopata's Obregón Busto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Ornopata from getting a goal against them. Zuriko Lagala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yépez Abrea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, one of Ornopata:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ornopata. Ornopata:s Obregón Busto showed great skill when he stopped Xusto Vada:s penalty. 42 minutes into the match, Xusto Vada notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ornopata's Obregón Busto. Obregón Busto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Inter de Guayaquil FC made a substitution. Nereo Florian replaced Diego Di Maria. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vicente Depino was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Blanco Lambarida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ornopata's Obregón Busto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Inter de Guayaquil FC booed when Ornopata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogerio Logares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xusto Vada took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Obregón Busto. Ornopata's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ornopata's goalkeeper Obregón Busto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blanco Lambarida to maneuver through the defense. Zuriko Lagala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zuriko Bernaldo's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Xusto Vada put in a rough tackle. Zuriko Lagala had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Yépez Abrea's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 74th minute of the match, Zuriko Bernaldo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zuriko Lagala saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rogerio Logares hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Blanco Lambarida took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Obregón Busto. Obregón Busto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Obregón Busto came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Guayaquil FC's Blanco Lambarida. But to his dismay, Blanco Lambarida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yépez Abrea got free with Zuriko Lagala in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vera Castro's late challenge caught a Ornopata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vera Castro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ornopata booed when Inter de Guayaquil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vera Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zuriko Lagala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calle Inda in the 94th minute of the match. 6-0 became the score in the 98th minute when Blanco Lambarida elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Inter de Guayaquil FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ornopata had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
