In the 17th minute, Club Puerto Quito's Dong Zhou Chen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Javier Aubets. Javier Aubets yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 19 minutes into the match, Ayoví Villavicencio notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of ............'s Javier Aubets. Javier Aubets was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Club Puerto Quito's Diego Narbona got a free kick in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Club Puerto Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Zenaido Baz came free, but Geovânio de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.
