In the 58thth minute of the game Elvis Colomines who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Puerto Quito's Geovânio de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Urtzi Coz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayoví Villavicencio in the 60th minute of play. After 62 played minutes, Club Puerto Quito's Arturo Azpiazu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Urtzi Coz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
