With an all-out effort, River LOA's Nicodemo Recalde threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chan Abeijon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to River LOA getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Reyes Molina hit a great ball. Juan Eduardo Araya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Vicente Soler in the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Jaume Aracena could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Nicodemo Recalde however easily saved by the left post. Ruperto Garbiso scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Eduardo Araya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaume Aracena came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nicodemo Recalde could save by the left post. River LOA's Juan Eduardo Araya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Vicente Soler in the 25th minute of play. In the 26th minute Ruperto Garbiso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Eduardo Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Enmanuel Pinaud was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VILLANUEVA FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River LOA the free kick. Jaume Aracena's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Nicodemo Recalde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nicodemo Recalde was left in no man's land by his defense there! Enmanuel Pinaud kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. A hard shot 42 in the game by Chan Abeijon from a close distance when the talented Nicodemo Recalde managed to make a qualified save. VILLANUEVA FC's players were relieved. A well-hit corner resulted in Enric Malfanti heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xacobo Santis, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Vicente Soler in the 46th minute of play forced River LOA's goalkeeper Juan Eduardo Araya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Eduardo Araya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Vicente Soler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jorge Vicente Soler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Juan Eduardo Araya made a huge save. In the 52nd play minute Ruperto Garbiso came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Juan Eduardo Araya. 1-2. Marcelo Maralla kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Juan Eduardo Araya was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Jorge Vicente Soler capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorge Vicente Soler really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chan Abeijon in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodemo Recalde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Eduardo Araya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Vicente Soler in the 65th minute of the match. Enric Malfanti's late challenge caught a VILLANUEVA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enric Malfanti helped the player get up and apologised. The long shot by Jorge Vicente Soler in the 67th minute really tested Juan Eduardo Araya's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Chan Abeijon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chan Abeijon, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Jaume Aracena came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the River LOA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaume Aracena couldn't finish the play. River LOA made a substitution. Ever Aspillaga replaced Chan Abeijon. Nicodemo Recalde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ever Aspillaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. VILLANUEVA FC played a much better game than River LOA and deserved their victory. The River LOA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
