The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Alcázar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Soriano Budinich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Villa having to interfere. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when Cabildo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Bolaños didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tanio Lezaeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cabildo FC's zone, Jacinto Cross stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricard Campbell came out of the goal and Jacinto Cross tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Talcampeón FC's Carlos Alberto Villa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Alcázar in the 37th minute of play. Ricard Campbell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanio Lezaeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 47 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Tanio Lezaeta. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Alcázar was the one to do the kick off. If Tanio Lezaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Larrañaga in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricard Campbell saved Cabildo FC from getting behind. Pedro Alcázar charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Alcázar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pedro Alcázar hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when Cabildo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualberto Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talcampeón FC's Carlos Alberto Villa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Talcampeón FC from getting a goal against them. 72 minutes into the match, Cabildo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Cross came free, but Ricard Campbell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Villa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualberto Pinto in the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanio Lezaeta in the 75th minute of play forced Cabildo FC's goalkeeper Ricard Campbell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 played minutes, Talcampeón FC's Eladio Sarmiento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ricard Campbell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Talcampeón FC reached it. Gualberto Pinto charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualberto Pinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes Cabildo FC got a freekick which was hit by Gualberto Pinto. 80 minutes into the match, Pedro Alcázar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Talcampeón FC's Carlos Alberto Villa. Carlos Alberto Villa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gualberto Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eladio Sarmiento kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Pedro Alcázar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
