Roldán Botello started the match with the kick off. Aureo Mazuelas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roldán Botello, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With splendid footwork Roldán Botello arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Jaime Rufo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aureo Mazuelas. The goal made the score 2-0. After some careless play in the Club Deportes Santa Cruz defense, Lauras Čiras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodosio Cerda. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodosio Cerda should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Centinela Español FC booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iván Dayson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aureo Mazuelas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Rufo in the 16th minute. In the 18th match minute, Centinela Español FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guido Soto to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Roldán Botello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureo Mazuelas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemencín Varas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aureo Mazuelas. That made the score 3-1 in the 20 minute of play. In the 25th minute, Felipe Soto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centinela Español FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 31 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Soto came free, but Teodosio Cerda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iván Dayson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aureo Mazuelas came out and tried to block the shot, but Iván Dayson slotted it home off the left post making it 4-3 in the 33rd minute. Centinela Español FC's Aureo Mazuelas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Centinela Español FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauras Čiras in the 39th minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Teodosio Cerda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Salomón Alamo tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aureo Mazuelas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Rufo in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-3 at half-time.

Aureo Mazuelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Miranda in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Jaime Rufo made a precise shot to the right of Aureo Mazuelas. Centinela Español FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. Roldán Botello kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Luis Bale replaced Clemencín Varas. In the 61st minute, Roldán Botello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Roldán Botello got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aureo Mazuelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Rufo in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Roldán Botello notched a goal, 6-3, to the right of Centinela Español FC's Aureo Mazuelas. Aureo Mazuelas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Centinela Español FC's Aureo Mazuelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roldán Botello in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roldán Botello in the 72nd minute of play forced Centinela Español FC's goalkeeper Aureo Mazuelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Soto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Cerda having to interfere. After 79 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Leoncio Mac Lean. In the 82nd minute, Leoncio Mac Lean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Centinela Español FC's Felipe Soto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Teodosio Cerda. Teodosio Cerda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roldán Botello in the 91st minute of play forced Centinela Español FC's goalkeeper Aureo Mazuelas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Roldán Botello put it in 7-4 from a short distance just to the right of Aureo Mazuelas. Club Deportes Santa Cruz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
