After 17 played minutes General Velásquez got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Irigoyen. In the 22nd minute, General Velásquez's Apolo Irigoyen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marino Brunet. Marino Brunet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Irigoyen got free with Marino Brunet in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marino Brunet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Tidéksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marino Brunet was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guntademaro Goyenechea showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

General Velásquez's Gustav Tidéksson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the TurboUC defense, Guntademaro Goyenechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marino Brunet. The TurboUC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marino Brunet should have stopped the shot. Jorge Vicente Squella succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 8-0. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Guntademaro Goyenechea sped through TurboUC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marino Brunet. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. General Velásquez fully deserved thier win.
